Selling eBooks and PLR products can be a lucrative business online, but only if you know how and where to sell you products online.  The internet has a vast number of market place to sell you digital products and eBooks and there is an unlimited opportunity to make money selling on these market places.  I have been selling eBooks on the internet since 2006 and on this post I will be sharing some of the major website I sold my products on.

How I started selling eBooks?

I have been searching for a money making opportunity since I was studying at University which was back in 1999, I tried and tested many things but nothing worked until in 2006 I first discovered how to make money selling information products on EBay.  It was on eBay that I first purchased a business eBook for $10 called “How to make money selling eBooks on EBay”.  This eBook came with a massive PLR package that gave me the opportunity to start selling eBooks on eBay straight away.  I studied the eBook from a-z for 1 full week and then followed every steps described in the book and within 3 days I sold my first product on eBay.  This sale motivated me to research the area further and from then on till 2008 I sold hundreds of eBooks and digital item on eBay.

EBay before 2008 was a very lucrative place to sell your eBooks and PLR products.  It all changed in 2008 when eBay changed its policy on digital items that are delivered electronically.  The change is intended to prevent sellers from artificially boosting their feedback ratings by selling thousands of identical downloads for as little as pennies.  Since then many sellers left the market place and some totally stopped selling while other found alternative ways.

EBay still allows selling of eBooks and PLR products on their site, but to sell you will need to put the items on a CD and post it out, so instead of digital download you are selling a physical product.  There is still opportunity on eBay to make a lot of money selling eBooks on CD but it can be time consuming as you will need to take orders, burn the item on cd and then post it out.  The process is longer than it was before.  The price is also sometimes an issue as you will need to add the cost of cd, cd cover and postage to the product, but if you have a good product people won’t mind paying higher price as long as you product meets their expectation.

Since eBay’s policy change on digital items many people went on to look for alternative sites and there are many new sites created after the policy change to allow people to sell their digital items and eBooks.  One good alternative is Tradebit.  This site allows you to sell your eBooks, mp3 music, sound files, repair manuals, software, pictures and movies.  All items are available for instant download after making payment.  You can also join as an affiliate and sell tradebit products on your blogs and website to earn up to 75% commission.  The company was created in 2004 and there are now over 30 million products listed on the site.  This is a great site to sell eBooks and digital products on as the site is well target for this sort of products and has a good flow of incoming traffics.

1. Ultimate PLR Store – This site is ideal if you are planning to purchase PLR articles to create contents for your website, blog or eBook.  The site does not offer many products but most items are package so you will get 5 to 10 articles in 1 package and the products are reasonably priced.

The PLR Store – This site sells PLR articles, ebooks, software, templates, video, audio, graphics and much more.  The site has a large number of products but there are many products on this site that are old and outdated.  The good thing is that the prices of items are very low; there are many products that start from $1.99.

Overall Score: 6/10.

3. PLR Assassin – This is a membership site with 600+ plr products and more products added regularly.  If you are looking for up to date plr products then consider this site.  Qualities of the products are also good.  The main product categories are ebooks, audio, video, articles.  You can also earn money by becoming an affiliate with them.  The site has over 2000 members at the time of writing.

4. PLR Products Blow Out – This site has a complete collection of latest PLR products.  The site has been updated in 2012 so you will be getting up to date products here.  Price of the whole package is $25 so I think that’s a reasonable offer.  The package contains some great internet marketing and niche products.

Overall score 9/10.
